To make your very own cloth wipe solution for faces and botties you need very simple ingredients you add different amounts of each ingredient to create different solutions. There are some basic elements that make up a solution. You can even invent your own as all the ingredients are safe to use on the skin.

Oil: Helps the wipe glide across baby's skin and keeps skin soft.
Soap: Cleans baby‘s bottie.
Essential Oils: (Essential Oil) Has antibacterial Properties and smells delicious.
Water: The main ingredient in each recipe, cleanses the bottie and dilutes the other ingredients.
So how do you use cloth wipe solutions?

We use spray bottles and recycled hand soap squirty bottles to store our solution, you may find a different bottle will be better for you.
Here are a few ideas.
♥ A sports bottle with a pull up lid, you can pour water directly onto the wipe although you might find that most fleece wipes repeal the first bit of water so you may need to be careful.
♥ Place wipes in a container and cover with solution so they are ready to use like wet wipes.
♥ Spray solution directly onto the bottie.

Check your solution regularly (every week.) And make up a new batch every few weeks, if you make small batches you can ensure they are always safe, and don’t go stagnant or if you like to make large batches you can freeze it. I find that when I use hot water (chamomile tea etc) its best to let the tea bag stew in a cup until the waters cooled down, then pour the tea into the bottle and add the ingredients.

Recipes
Basic recipe
This basic recipe can be adapted by changing the type of soap or oil. 8 tablespoons baby oil 8 tablespoons baby wash/soap 1 pint of water

now lets have some fun.

Anti-Fungal solution - tea tree has antifungal qualities and smells really fresh to, lavender oil also smells really fresh mixed together they make a lovely solution.
1 teaspoon white vinegar (don’t use if your baby has a raw rash)
A few drops lavender oil A few drops tea tree oil 4 tablespoons 100% aloe vera gel (leave out if you don’t have it) 8 tablespoons water

Chamomile solution- this solution smells amazing and this is what I use every day.
1 chamomile tea bag (we have used chamomile honey and vanilla bags before and it smells amazing) 1 cup hot water- put the chamomile tea bag in the hot water 1 teaspoon baby oil 1 teaspoon baby bath or shampoo 1 drop lavender oil Optional- you can also add honey if you want to

Lotion solution
1 tablespoon baby oil 1 tablespoon baby soap 1 tablespoon baby lotion 1 cup water
Have a go at these and try your own, you can use different oils you can use vegetable oil, olive oil etc, you can use different essential oils however tea tree and lavender are anti fungal and soothing on your babies skin. (Please check with your health food store for oils you can use) and have fun.
